Apparently, Halloween was brought to Canada in the mid-to-late 1800s by Irish and Scottish immigrants.
Every year on October 31, children wearing disguises go door to door asking for candies while parents are close by and making sure everyone is having a good time.
Children with or without their parents not too far away depending on their age who "trick-or-treat" only in houses where there are lights and Halloween decorations.
Front doors with Halloween decorations is always (usually) a sign that kids are welcomed and candies (treats) are given. All they have to do is ring the bell, say (they usually shout) "trick or treat" open their bag, smile and say thank you.
